Wouldn’t life be wonderful if we had someone to pay our bills, clean our garden, clear the attic, paint it too, get us movie tickets, give us information about the best doctor/plumber/electrician/carpenter in the area? Well, certainly there are people to do all this if you’re prepared to pay for the services. But one real estate developer has actually decided to give all this as a privilege to his clients. The Purva Privileges Program is created exclusively for residents and owners across all the properties of the Group.
“As home builders for over 25 years, we’ve realised that life for a householder can be so much more convenient if there was someone to take care of all the little things like painters, plumbers, home insurance....." points out Mr Girish Purvankara, Director, Purvankara Projects Limited. "We wanted to reward our residents, to offer them excellent services at their doorsteps, and hence this free membership," he adds.
The programme identifies three kinds of members — existing owners and residents, owners of Purvankara apartments but living elsewhere, and new owners. The company has a tie-up with a host of service providers like book shops, dance studios, restaurants, pubs, fitness centres, groceries, paint companies, furnishers, pharmaceuticals, and shops that will offer the members a good discount on their services and purchases. They can also avail of holiday package offers given by several hotels. The group aims to add at least 10 new tie-ups each month.
"There are so many things that new householders require, and which they think of only after they move in---name plates, pest control, home appliance repairers.
Our exclusive concierge services promises to be a member’s personal shopper, entertainment guide and errand runner," explains the developer of such properties as Purva Park that won an award instituted by the Paris-based International Federation of Real Estate, Purva Graces, and Purva Heights. Currently, nine properties are under construction including Purva Riviera on Airport Road and Purva Exquisite on Sarjapur Road.
"Our success is mainly because of the confidence that our apartment owners have in us. For years, they have been the ones who have sold our projects to friends and relatives.
With the introduction of the referral scheme open to all Purva Privilege Program members, every successful referral will earn a reward---something like Rs.20,000 for getting a friend to buy a Rs.20 lakh apartment," says Girish.
The programme, maintained by Netcarrots.com, had a soft launch in late 2003, and the company is in the process of intimating all its home owners. The programme, seen as the first formal residents’ privilege programme comes from a group with an outstanding CRISIL-rating.
